Haskell volleyball played two matches on September 24, taking the court in a four-set contest in the afternoon before closing the evening with a three-set match.
Match 1 - Haskell vs Missouri Valley
Haskell opened the day with a four-set match, falling by scores of 14-25, 25-19, 13-25, and 20-25.
In the second set, Haskell responded with its strongest frame, finishing with 11 kills and a .176 attack percentage to even the match. The team reached double-digit kills again in the fourth set, posting 11 on .216 hitting before the match came to a close.
Leaders: Kayelani Maiava recorded 13 kills and 13 digs, while Mya Dalgai added 10 kills and 5 blocks. Alaina Dugi paced the back row with 15 digs, and setters Jaspen Ellenwood and Katelynn Singer handed out 13 and 10 assists, respectively.
Match 2 - Haskell vs William WoodsÂ
In the evening match, Haskell was swept in straight sets, 21-25, 13-25, 12-25.
The opening set was the closest of the match, with Haskell collecting 11 kills and staying within reach before dropping the frame 25-21. The team added four blocks across the final two sets while also recording 12 digs in the third.
Leaders: Tressa Jim led the offense with 6 kills, followed by Mya Dalgai with 5 kills and 2 blocks. Alaina Dugi anchored the defense with 14 digs, and Kayelani Maiava added 8 digs and 2 service aces.
