LAWRENCE, Kan. – Haskell volleyball showed grit and energy in Saturday's home contest, pushing Bethany College in a competitive three-set match (19-25, 20-25, 17-25).
The offense was fueled by Tressa Jim (8 kills, 10 digs) and Mya Dalgai (7 kills, .238 hitting percentage). Kayelani Maiava chipped in 6 kills and 7 digs while Hailey Kelsey was a force at the net with 6 kills and 2 blocks.
Defensively, Alaina Dugi anchored the back row with a team-high 19 digs, and the squad totaled 55 digs and 4 blocks on the afternoon. Setter Katelynn Singer paced the attack with 17 assists, and Darrilyn Tessay added 8 assists.
Despite the 0-3 setback, Haskell battled through long rallies, showing strong growth.
