LAWRENCE, Kan. – Haskell Volleyball made a statement in their home opener with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Crowley's Ridge on Wednesday night (27-25, 25-19, 18-25, 22-25, 15-10).
The offense was led by Kayelani Maiava with 17 kills, while Hailey Kelsey added 10 kills and a standout seven service aces. Setter Jaspen Ellenwood paced the team with 23 assists and added 11 digs, helping Haskell secure key points down the stretch.
Alaina Dugi anchored the defense with 20 digs, and Mya Dalgai dominated at the net with five blocks. As a team, Haskell tallied 57 kills, 17 aces, and seven total blocks in the victory.
The win improves Haskell's record to 2-8 this season.
