Haskell Women's Basketball came up just short in a hard-fought contest, falling 68–67 on Saturday afternoon inside the Haskell Gym.
Ona Dauphinais led the way offensively with a game-high 28 points, knocking down six three-pointers and adding five assists and two steals while playing nearly the entire game. Angela Astorga recorded a strong all-around performance with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists to secure a double-double for the Lady Indians.
Haskell shot efficiently from deep, finishing 10-for-24 (41.7%) from three-point range, and posted a 42.1% overall shooting mark. The team also tallied 20 assists on 24 made field goals, showing strong ball movement throughout the contest.
Tierzah Penn added seven points, four assists, and two steals, while Alana Stephens chipped in nine points and three assists. Tea Murray provided a spark off the bench with five points in limited minutes.
After trailing at the half, Haskell exploded for 22 points in the third quarter, building momentum and taking control late. The team held its largest lead of the game at eight points midway through the fourth quarter, but the one-point margin ultimately favored the visitors.
Haskell totaled 31 rebounds, including five offensive boards, and forced several key defensive stops down the stretch. Despite the narrow outcome, the performance showed resilience and execution on both ends of the floor.
