Golf Starts their Journey to their Championship Season!

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Haskell Indian Nations University men's golf team earned fifth place with a two-round score of 654 at the OU Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. Haskell shot a first round score of 326 and second round score of 328 (654).

Mitchell Baker & TQ Barrios played a solid two days on the course of Eagle Bend, Baker earned fifth place overall in the first round with a one round score of 76. His second round score was 80 with a two round score of 156. TQ Barrios tied for 10th with a round one score of 78. Barrios tied for seventh place during the second round with a score of 77 and two round score of 155.  TQ ended the tournament tied for seventh and Mitchell ended tied for tenth. 

Newcomer, Brent Cahwee had a first round score of 84 and a second round score of 88, giving him the two round score of 172 putting him in a three way tie for 33rd along with fellow teammate Wilson Brockie. Brockie scored 88 in round one and an 84 in round two with a round score of 172. The final golfer, Russell Parker had an overall finish of 43 with a total round score of 190. 

Up Next

The Golf program will return to the course on Saturday, 9/18/21 in Emporia KS. They will compete at the Bethel College invitational.
