Professional Philosophy:

As the Head WBB Coach at Haskell, the intent of deriving to a coaching philosophy becomes more than just basketball. First, the philosophy must align with HINU's mission to build leaders based upon academics, cultural awareness, and holistically being impactful to respective Indigenous communities. Along with these important measures, the student-athlete must be physically and mentally prepared to meet the demands of collegiate competition. This requires attention to physical conditioning, strength training, and offering opportunities to engage players mental approach during scheduled workouts. On the court, I would like for my athletes to be more active than reactive. Throughout the game, I would like for the Fightin' Indians to be the aggressor. Defensively we will look to apply full court man-to-man pressure and this will be accompanied by a fast-paced transition offense. In the event we have to play half court, I look for a disciplined approach and work to capitalize on the opponents mistakes.
