Alta played as a setter for three years at Haskell Indian Nations University. In her time, she was awarded through her team most valuable player, Warrior Woman, and NAIA All-Academic American Scholar Athlete. Alta also was on the dean's and president's list academically for Haskell.

Alta lead the program to playoffs in her first season with Haskell in 2019.

Professional Philosophy:

As a coach my role is to guide, support, and empower my athletes through-out their college career and prepare them for the roles in which they will have outside of their academics.

Fun Fact:

Alta is also an adjunct instructor for the university for the education and health, sports and exercise science departments at Haskell. She enjoys spending time with her two girls and husband outdoors and cooking.
