Downing was a member of Maryland College Park's Men's Basketball Program. Downing played as a guard for the program from 1988-1992. 

Experience:

Haskell Indian Nations University, 2015-present.

Downing is entering his 8th season with the Haskell Men's Basketball program.

Over 20 years coaching experience various institutions and levels. 

Professional Philosophy:

Mentoring young men to become active participants in their growth as a teammate, student and member of the campus and community. Basketball ends for everyone at some point. Giving as much as you take from this experience will carry over to life as husbands and fathers.
