Haskell Volleyball Returns Proven Production, Adds New Talent Ahead of 2026 Season

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The core is back. The experience is stronger. And Haskell Volleyball is adding new talent to an already experienced roster.
Entering the 2026 season, Haskell returns significant production from its 2025 roster while welcoming six incoming recruits and four transfers to the program. The team also features Jayla Flient, a returning Haskell student-athlete expanding her collegiate athletic career into a second sport after previously competing in basketball.
And while the season is still ahead, Haskell is already receiving recognition entering the new campaign.
According to NAIA Volley Report's 2026 preseason coverage, Haskell is projected sixth in the Continental Athletic Conference, while returning libero Alaina Dugi is ranked among the NAIA's top returning dig leaders.
Dugi enters the season ranked No. 6 nationally with 694 digs, just five digs behind No. 5 Gabby Kurle of St. Mary, who enters with 699.
The recognition adds another layer to a roster already featuring proven production, new collegiate experience, and competition at every position.
Haskell does not enter 2026 starting over.
It enters the season building on what it already has.

A Proven Core Returns

Haskell brings back several of its top statistical contributors from the 2025 season, including leaders in kills, assists, digs, blocks, and service aces.

Tressa Jim — Outside Hitter

396 Kills | 221 Digs | Approximately 40 Total Blocks
One of Haskell's most complete returning players, Tressa Jim enters 2026 as a proven offensive weapon and six-rotation contributor.
Jim led Haskell with 396 kills during the 2025 season, establishing herself as one of the team's primary offensive options. Her production extended beyond the attack, as she also recorded 221 digs and approximately 40 total blocks.
Her ability to contribute in every rotation gives Haskell an experienced outside hitter who can impact matches on both sides of the net.
Jim also produced several standout performances throughout the 2025 campaign, including a 19-kill performance against Mission University.
With another collegiate season under her belt, Jim returns as one of the key pieces of Haskell's offense.

Jaspen Ellenwood — Setter

444 Assists | 200+ Digs | Approximately 20 Service Aces
Haskell returns an experienced offensive leader in Jaspen Ellenwood.
Ellenwood led the team with 444 assists in 2025, directing the offense and creating opportunities for Haskell's attackers.
Her impact was not limited to setting. Ellenwood also recorded more than 200 digs and approximately 20 service aces, giving Haskell another well-rounded contributor.
With another year in the system, Ellenwood returns with familiarity, experience, and chemistry with Haskell's returning attackers.

Alaina Dugi — Defensive Specialist

694 Digs | 5.07 Digs/Set | No. 6 NAIA Returning Dig Leader
The Haskell back row returns one of the most productive defensive players in the NAIA in Alaina Dugi.
Dugi finished the 2025 season with 694 digs across 137 sets, averaging 5.07 digs per set. That production places her No. 6 nationally among NAIA returning dig leaders, according to NAIA Volley Report's preseason rankings. She sits just five digs behind the No. 5 player nationally.
Her production is not new. Dugi has established herself as one of Haskell's most reliable defensive players since arriving in Lawrence. During the 2024 season, she recorded 98 digs across four matches during one week alone, including a 30-dig performance against Cottey College, earning CAC Defender of the Week honors.
Dugi's ability to control serve receive, extend rallies, and consistently put Haskell in position to transition into offense makes her one of the team's most important returning pieces.
Entering 2026, she also carries one of the most recognizable defensive résumés in the NAIA.

Mya Dalgai — Middle Blocker

221 Kills | 94 Total Blocks
At the net, Mya Dalgai returns after putting together one of Haskell's strongest statistical seasons in 2025.
Dalgai finished the season with 221 kills while leading the team with 94 total blocks.
Her ability to produce offensively while creating problems for opposing hitters makes her one of Haskell's key two-way contributors.
Her return gives Haskell an experienced middle who can create offense through the center of the court while anchoring the block.

Hailey Kelsey — Front Row

156 Kills | 63 Total Blocks | Approximately 30 Service Aces
Hailey Kelsey returns as another versatile piece of Haskell's front row.
Kelsey recorded 156 kills and 63 total blocks in 2025 while adding approximately 30 service aces.
Her ability to contribute offensively, defensively, and from the service line provides Haskell with another player capable of shifting momentum during a match.

More Experience Returns

The returning production extends beyond Haskell's top statistical leaders.
Katelynn Singer returns after recording approximately 273 assists during the 2025 season, giving Haskell another experienced option at setter and additional flexibility within the offensive system.
Darrilyn Tessay contributed approximately 158 assists last season and returns with another year of experience running the offense.
Grace Moses-Watchman recorded approximately 119 assists and continues to provide versatility throughout the roster.
Sandra St. Clair returns with valuable front-row experience, adding depth and competition at the net.
Mecca Goldsberry, Brianna Mitchell, Aniah Smith, Trulee Jim, and Danielle Jefferson also return with another year of experience in the program and opportunities to continue expanding their roles.
The returning group gives Haskell something every program looks for entering a new season: familiarity.
These players know the system, the expectations, and each other. Now, they have another season of collegiate experience to build upon.

Haskell adds six incoming recruits to the 2026 roster:

Her experience in a successful high school program adds another competitive athlete to an incoming class designed to strengthen the roster's depth.

Her arrival brings a different playing background to the roster and another opportunity for Haskell to develop a new student-athlete within its system.

Neveah Strayley — Oklahoma

Four Transfers Bring Collegiate Experience

Haskell also welcomes four transfers to the 2026 roster, adding previous collegiate experience to an already experienced group.

Nyveeaudica Cole — Transfer | York University

Nyveeaudica Cole joins Haskell after competing at York University in Nebraska.
A Tahlequah, Oklahoma native and Sequoyah High School graduate, Cole brings previous collegiate experience and a strong high school background.
At Sequoyah, she competed as a middle and earned Sooner 5 Conference Offensive MVP recognition.

Her addition gives Haskell another experienced student-athlete competing for opportunities as the program integrates its incoming recruits and returning players.

Aubree Savage — Transfer | South Puget Sound Community College

Aubree Savage joins Haskell as a transfer from South Puget Sound Community College, bringing collegiate experience and a versatile background to the 2026 roster.
Before beginning her collegiate career, Savage was a standout at Page High School in Arizona, where she finished the 2024 season with 187 kills and 303 digs.
She averaged 2.1 kills per set and 3.4 digs per set, while also recording a .131 hitting percentage, approximately 0.3 service aces per set, and 197 receptions.
Savage's ability to contribute offensively while also providing defensive production gives Haskell another versatile option entering the season.
Listed as an outside hitter/middle blocker at South Puget Sound, Savage brings positional versatility and previous collegiate experience to Haskell's roster.

Jayla Flient — A New Two-Sport Chapter

Haskell's 2026 volleyball roster also features an athlete taking on a new challenge.
Jayla Flient enters the volleyball program after previously competing in basketball at Haskell, expanding her collegiate athletic career to a second sport.
Flient is not a transfer. She is already part of the Haskell athletic family and is now adding volleyball to her collegiate experience.
Her transition brings a different athletic background into the program and adds another layer of athleticism and versatility to Haskell's roster.
As she makes the move to volleyball, Flient will have the opportunity to continue developing her game while balancing the demands of competing in two sports.

A Roster Built Around Competition

The strength of Haskell's 2026 roster is its balance.
The team returns a player who recorded 396 kills, a setter who distributed 444 assists, a defensive leader with 694 digs, a middle blocker who recorded 94 total blocks, and a versatile front-row contributor who produced 156 kills and 63 blocks.
Dugi's return may be particularly significant. Her 694 digs in 2025 rank her sixth nationally among NAIA returning dig leaders, putting her within five digs of the No. 5 spot entering the new season.
Behind those leaders are returners who accumulated hundreds of additional assists and significant front-row and defensive experience.
Then comes a new class of six recruits and four transfers, including athletes with high school accolades, defensive awards, successful program backgrounds, and previous collegiate experience.
Among those transfers is Savage, who brings a proven statistical background after recording 187 kills and 303 digsduring her 2024 high school season and continuing her career at the collegiate level.
And alongside the new additions is Flient, a returning Haskell student-athlete expanding into her second collegiate sport.
The result is competition throughout the roster — competition for starting positions, expanded roles, and opportunities to contribute.

The Standard Remains

Haskell enters 2026 with expectations already beginning to build.
NAIA Volley Report's preseason coverage places Haskell sixth in the Continental Athletic Conference, while Dugi enters the season among the top returning dig leaders nationally.
Those preseason projections do not determine what happens once the season begins. But they do provide another indication of the foundation Haskell brings into 2026.
The returning players bring familiarity and proven production.
The six recruits bring new talent and potential.
The four transfers bring collegiate experience.
And Flient brings a unique two-sport element to the roster.
Together, they give Haskell a group capable of continuing to develop, compete, and raise the standard heading into the 2026 campaign.
The season is still ahead.
The rankings are only preseason.
But the foundation is already in place.
The core is back. The experience is stronger. The standard remains.
Haskell Volleyball is ready for 2026.
